The BroadBaker Group, Ltd. helps governing boards and executive leadership achieve significant improvements in the way the organization approaches its governance and strategy. We treat governance as a unified concept - a system - involving several vital elements that must be optimized, including the executive's successful response to the board's expectations.
These include core values, development of deep wisdom, board governance,
delegation of authority and accountability, (governance structure, process, voice, & board dynamics), strategy, risk
governance, and assurance of CEO and organizational performance. We train
and consult to a wide variety of organizations, including their executives, and particularly to organizations and ministries of faith in
the areas of values, ethics, leadership, and governance.

We have extensive knowledge and experience in several major domains such as health care, NGOs, local government services, human service charitable, small to medium size family held for-profits, and also Christian ministry and mission organizations, both domestic and international, including schools, camps, and churches.

The Scope of our Training and Consultation:
◊ Values and Ethics for
Leaders, governing boards and management: Expressed values and ethics are vital to
success. We assist organizations and executives in
developing a full and comprehensive ethics and values construct that aligns the
organization in terms of its organizational culture, strategy, excellence in practices and
sustainability. We stimulate comprehensive systems thinking about your organization's values and ethics.
◊ Board Governance: A great
governing board sets the stage for, and enables, a high performance
organization.
We train, coach, and consult to governing boards (and their chairs) in achieving excellence in
governance, freeing boards from inefficient and unproductive board
practices, permitting the board to become what it was meant to be. We enable
boards to master governance and delegate with clarity and empowerment.
We believe that, if implemented (and maintained) correctly, Policy Governance®, particularly, enables this for boards (based on John Carver's model, see registry note below), and we are additionally trained and very experienced in Policy Governance should a board desire anything from an introduction to full implementation. We include churches and small ministries among our clients, and use very experienced and governance trained associates in financial oversight, pastoring, and ministry governance.
◊ Strategy and Strategic Planning: Beginning with values and organizational purpose (ends), we train and facilitate in practical strategic thinking and strategic planning, both to achieve your ends and to position the organization for success and sustainability.
◊ Wisdom and Leadership: Leadership is founded in wisdom, just as wisdom is founded in rectitude. We train you to link values and rectitude with wisdom and then wisdom with good leadership - to think well, even how to approach wise thinking. We also coach in this approach to leadership - the development of wise leadership.
◊ Results-Based Measurement or Metrics (or Outcomes-Based Evaluation): Well done outcome or results measures are the key to both successful on-target strategy and to effective and efficient performance improvement. Good results-based or outcomes-based measures, combined with effective visualization, can be transformational.
◊ Organizational Performance and Quality Improvement:
An organization can't become excellent without knowing how. This
necessitates application of principles from the quality science world,
including Deming's continuous quality improvement principles and tools, Voice of the Customer,
lean thinking principles, root cause analysis,
and understanding variation. However, we keep it simple and train our
clients how cascade the training themselves to other employees. We also can coach in such issues including problem assessment
and diagnosis, trouble-shooting and crisis management assistance.
◊ System Dynamics and dynamic modeling and simulation of both organizational processes and strategic phenomenon and issues.
◊ Measurement, analysis, and decision tools from the inferential sciences and information management tools,
